Brandon and I are slowly but surely making our way through our long to-do list and although we had a blast on all our trips we are very glad to have some downtime at home. The most pressing thing is to figure out all of the details of our move to Chicago., which is just a little over three months away-- yikes!!! We are also trying to do some of our bucket list items before we leave the area. Brandon has lived out here for almost four years and I've been out here almost nine and there are so many wonderful things here we will miss...or that we've never done. SO, we need to carpe diem for the next three months, while also striking a balance so that we continue to have some time at home to just enjoy being around each other.

One bucket list item Alyse and I did was to go see the cherry blossoms in DC one last time. Not only are they gorgeous and mark the beginning of Spring (which has become one of my favorites out here), but they surround my all-time favorite spot in DC-- the Tidal Basin by the Jefferson and FDR memorials. That is also happens to be where Brandon proposed to me :) The wind was pretty cold so I have Alyse all bundled up...I think she kind of looks like a cherry blossom!
