J & J

I just got back late last night from one of my best friend's (from high school and college and beyond) wedding. I always feel honored when I'm invited to share in this special day with people, but weddings of close family and friends really are the most touching and fun to attend. In high school, I spent nearly every day with Jana and, in one way or another, her family. It had been years since I had seen her parents and siblings, and the spouses and kids that are now a part of their lives. My heart was full of love for all of them AND I was overflowing with excitement for Jana and James. I also got to see an old roommate from BYU who came to the reception with her husband and two kids (I hadn't seen her since I graduated from undergrad!) and a former Church leader and her husband (they don't look a day older than when they worked with us all when we were teens). Just take a look at what I got to witness all day on Saturday...

As an added bonus, one of my other BFFs was also there all day on Saturday, so I got to spend time with her and her kiddies and her parents. I loved it!

AND the other great thing about my quick trip was that I got to stay with my mom and Scott and they were also at all the wedding festivities. Unfortunately, I was so focused on getting pics of Jana and James, we didn't get a nice pic of the three of us...all we got was a last minute shot before I went into the airport to fly home (and by home, I mean back to bmore to see Brandon, who I missed A LOT even though it was just a three day trip).
