Would you brake for...

a squirrel?
We were watching a squirrel run around outside our apartment the other day. I mentioned to Brandon that one day while I'd been driving back to our place, and a car was driving up the road coming the opposite direction, there had been a squirrel in the middle of the road, between the two lanes of traffic. The squirrel had hesitated, and then chosen to run through my lane onto the nearby sidewalk; however, just like deer in headlights, the squirrel froze in the road. I did a quick check to see if there were any cars approaching from behind me, and I braked. Even though there are literally thousands of squirrels around here, and sometimes they even cause people trouble by getting into their roofs, etc., there is NO WAY I could have run over that squirrel.

Brandon, on the other hand, immediately said he would have murdered the little creature.
SO, the question is, would you brake for a squirrel?

If yes, then you should check out http://www.squirrelstore.com/ and maybe even suggest someone get you
car magnet as a Christmas present.
If not, then maybe you should become a member of the official Squirrel Defamation League
http://www.deadsquirrel.com/.

  1. I brake for squirrels but not birds...long story.
Someday the story will show up in our blog. Ammon brakes for neither. Want a good song about not killing squierrels? Check out Inside Out's Squirrel song. It's great!
