Philly-Baltimore-DC

Last Friday night, Brandon and I headed over to Philly to meet up with my "little" bro and sister-in-law AND Sean. Lish and Whit were up for a conference for Criminology (for those who don't know, Lish is in his last year of his Ph.D. program at FSU and is applying for jobs as a professor! Crazy-- my litte brother!). We were so lucky to be able to hang out with both of our younger brothers in the same town and on the same night! We actually had a sleepover in the hotel room!

We hung out in Philly Friday night and most of Saturday, and then Lish and Whit headed back to Bmore with us. It was so fun to tour them around (we went downtown to Fells Point and also to St. Paul's for a picnic) and have them spend a night with us in our little apartment.

We really like Philly...I had only been there once, and Brandon had never been, so the time we spent walking around downtown, touring the old buildings in the historic district, and eating at Reading Market was really fun!
Part of city hall...

Lish looking into the cemetery where Benjamin Franklin was buried...

Ben Franklin's actual gravestone...

Brandon and Lish checking out a bench in a Quaker Church...

There was a Chinese demonstration on the lawn by the Liberty bell...

Statues of Benjamin Franklin were all over the historic part of Philly...

Two pics of Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were signed. This is one of the places I went when I was in Philly my first time around and there was a very cool feeling in this hall...

There were so many old buildings. I took this one for Brandon because it's the Philadelphia Saving Fund Society...

Lish and Whit are so fun to hang out with and travel with. They are adventurous and funny, easygoing, and have lots of energy. We are so grateful we got to see them while they were up north!

After a day in Bmore, we drove down to DC to visit with some family friends (Vance and Casey Taylor), and dropped Lish and Whit off there. It was a whirlwind of a weekend with three big cities in three days, but we loved it!

The weekend before (two weeks ago now) we went down to the LDS Temple in DC and met our friend Chris and his girlfriend, Liz. It was an awesome double date (because Chris and Liz are SO fun!) and we went on a bike ride and had a picnic under the Fall leaves. We all forgot our cameras on the ride, so we snapped a few shots after the fact.

We are so blessed to have friends and family to hang out with!
