It's the Most Wonderful Time...

I have to admit that I have been extra excited for Christmas this year and started listening to some Christmas music even before Thanksgiving had come and gone! I know, I know, that is against the code, but I think because last year at this time was the "wedding season" for us and not really Christmas season I am all the more excited for this time of year.
We leave for Cali in two weeks and starting this Friday at my work I have half days for a whole week (because the boys have exams). I am seriously getting really, really excited even as I type this!!! We are also going to Utah for several days-- hitting all the parental units this year AND we get to see all the siblings too!
It snowed here yesterday and was in the 30's/20's all weekend long and, honestly, I loved it. Around this time of year I love the snow and crowds of people and pretty much everything about this season! We went to the DC temple and walked around to see the Christmas lights.

Then, tonight, we had some friends over and I made some traditional Jewish food to celebrate the start of Chanukah this coming Friday (matzah ball soup and latkes). Gotta keep the Jewish heritage alive!

  2. Latke happiness is knowing Brandon likes them too! The next step is trying matzoh for Passover. This holiday has even more joy to it as your FIRST Anniversary too. And how great you get to celebrate with all siblings AND 'parental units'!
    Love ya,
    Moms
