Snowstorm 2010

As the local weatherman just stated: "Yes, this is Baltimore, not Buffalo." The first pic below is when it had snowed for a few hours and before the sunset on Friday, 2/5/10.

This pic is from 2/6/10 when we woke up Saturday morning. SO much snow!

On the side of our "apartment house" to the side parking lot where my car is parked.

Our neighbor got a shovel (we had to "borrow" one from another neighbor who had luckily left it out when the last storm came) so Brandon and I ventured outside to clean off our cars and the sidewalks.

Brandon's car was parked in the lot in front of our apartment, and the snow went up to my thighs and the snow on the top of the car it was as deep as my bicep.

Some stats from the local weather:
#1 Storm in the Mid-Atlantic and #1 Winter Season (two storms over 20 inches in one season; December 19th and this weekend). The current storm has beat the records set for snow fall on two dates: 2/5 from the 1880's and 2/6 from 1990's.

We are safe and warm, enjoying some homemade hazelnut steamers and big choc chip cookies :) Luckily, we have become a little addicted to "24" and have 5 episodes left on season one...

  1. That's crazy! I don't think I've EVER seen that much snow. How did you even drive? Those hazelnut steamers sound delish, not to mention the chocolate chip cookies. Way to make the best of it! Love you!
