Amused By Simple Things

This is pretty much how Brandon and I both looked througout dinner on Saturday night. And, it was our second time here, so you can imagine what the first time was like (picture wide eyes, jaw dropped, and heads following the platters as they passed by).
Yes, we are amused by simple things, and we love it!
The Rotating Sushi Bar in Towson, MD is becoming one of our favorite fun dinner places to go-- entertainment, quick service, and inexpensive, good sushi all in one place! It is seriously so much fun I am smiling just thinking about it...they seat you at the "bar" on a stool and as shown in the pic above, the entire time you sit there, plates of sushi rolls move by you on a conveyer belt. The rolls are all on plates of different colors/designs according to their price, so you are just free to pluck whatever you want off the conveyer belt, enjoy, and stack up your plates so they can tell how much to charge you at the end.
I love sushi and Brandon lets me choose where we eat a lot, so we end up eating sushi about every other week. One thing that works out for us is that we don't eat that much sushi, so the price is always right for us. We've noticed (especially at the Rotating Sushi Bar where patrons stack up their plats) how much sushi other people scarf down, while we eat our 6-8 pieces each. There's just something about popping a roll into your mouth and having so many flavors combine together in such a delicious way...sorry for those of you grossed out by seafood, but you are missing out!
Anyway, just a little magnified moment of our weekend...

  1. I had no idea Brandon ate Sushi! I enjoy the sushi bar as well. However, I like the California rolls and such,. not the real raw fish. I haven't been to one since I've been married-Ammon is allergic to fish! Maybe we'll have to go together the next time we're together...hm..I wonder when that will be... The future looks dim. :(

  2. Okay- you're making my mouth water. Yum! That's a GREAT idea for a sushi bar. I think I'd be the one with the huge stack of plates though- you eat like a bird! It was fun to see your mom on Saturday at my house for Stacie's baby shower- I was so glad she came. It made me miss you though! Love ya!
