Update

I don't have a catchy title for this post...which isn't to say that the last few weeks haven't been good...they've just been, well, normal. Or, at least, as normal as they can be when you're 9 months pregnant. Over the last 3/4 of the year (that is such a long time...)-- since I've been pregnant-- my standard of normal has definitely changed. My memories of physical comfort and even (at times) emotional stability seem like distant ones...I suppose it's all in preparation for this transition to motherhood-- learning to sacrifice my own comforts for those of a child--so I'm grateful in that respect. But, boy am I ready to have parts of my body back (like my belly!) and meet this little person who will be a part of our family F-O-R-E-V-E-R (please re-read this in the slow, low tone they do in Sandlot (shout out to Brandon's favorite movie), if you didn't read it that way the first time). Such an amazing and strange experience. We are excited and nervous and everything in between!

Anyway, on other fronts, Brandon finished his last round one MBA application last week, so now "it's the waiting game". In between the busyness at his job (he finished his apps just in time for the end of the quarter at work which means it's time for one of their quarterly busy seasons) and campouts with the Boy Scouts (this weekend is "Survivor Camp"), he now gets to start on the list I've been compiling of things I need his help on. Before you start judging this relationship dynamic, let me just say that Brandon loves lists. In fact, he asks me to make him lists so he knows exactly what I want him to do, and so he can check it off. I love lists too, and I love it when he does everything I want him to do, so this works out perfectly for us!

Stay tuned for a post about the lovely Baby Shower my Bmore friends hosted for me! Sorry for the lack of pics this post, I promise some next time...

  2. Sandlot is definitely a family favorite! I made Ammon watch it when we were dating...he hadn't EVER seen it! Tragedy!
