P-burgh

We had the opportunity to go to Pittsburgh last week. Brandon had a work conference (sadly, we don't have any pictures of how dapper he looked in his suit) and Alyse and I got to visit my grandma (dad's mom). The visit was wonderful and was just one of those things we had to do before leaving the East Coast.


"I'm just going to stare at you a while and figure out who you are."


"Hmmmmm, you look pretty nice but I have just never met you before."


"All righty, I have decided: you are nice! Mom, look, this is my great-grandma and I love her!"


"Now I'll just stare at you a little while longer since I've decided you are really great."

Alyse also finally starting sucking on her toes! I'm not sure why this is a baby right of passage, but it is. I am also not sure why it is so cute since if an adult did it we would all be grossed out. She was very proud of herself!


I'm not sure if it is having Alyse or just getting older, but I really appreciate my grandparents on a whole new level. And, I'm so grateful to have the chance to introduce Alyse to both sets of them before we move from the east coast. This summer, we will have the chance to meet up with both sets of Brandon's grandparents...so by August, Alyse will have met all of her great-grandparents (minus my grandpa who passed away last year)!!!
