Visitors

Sometimes Brandon and I joke the Alyse is our PV (permanent visitor). Our lives have changed so much and at the same time it kind of feels like it has always been this way...well, maybe not the waking up at night part or the being housebound from 7pm on since the PV is down for the night or all the baby gear that has filled our apartment part or not being able to run an errand together when the PV is asleep since someone needs to stay and monitor her...I guess it just feels like it was meant to be this way, at least until the PV graduates high school and moves out :) By then we probably won't be thinking of her as a visitor anymore and we'll want her back!

We had a wonderful visit this week from my Mom and Scott. Unfortunately both Alyse and I got sick with bad colds, so we laid low for part of their visit. But, we did get out and about for a few tours of Baltimore neighborhoods and the Acquarium (thanks to Brandon and T. Rowe). Here are some pics of the grandparents playing with Alyse, which is the main reason they came to visit!

The other week I babysat for my friends Sandra and Ryan's daughter, Maeva. She is a little over 2 months older than Alyse and is an adorable baby. She and Alyse know each other from playgroup and church and it was so fun to watch them interact.

As each week passes, we are gearing up more and more for our move and our big summer trip-- 5 weeks traveling around Utah and Cali visiting family and seeing sights! I am getting more nostalgic about leaving the East Coast and at the same time can't wait to be on with this next phase of our family's life!

  1. Special Gma K: Of course we LOVED our visit with you, even laying low b/c you were sick. Our Acquarium trip was terrific (mucho gracias to TRowe & Brandon!) and what a great evening to eat out at the harbor too. So glad Scottie and I got to visit before you move!
