Summer Part Two: St. George

After our great visit in SLC, we hitched a ride with my mom down to my brother and his family's new home in St. George. To jog your memory about Lish and Whitney's lives, they moved to SG in January when Lish got a job at Dixie State College in their Criminal Justice Dept. They had a baby boy on December 3, 2010, Yale, so Whitney is now a stay-at-home mommma. As if that wasn't enough change, they just bought a house about a month ago!

SO, we had a blast staying in their new digs, letting the cousins play more with each other (my nephew Yale is adorable and Alyse had so much fun interacting with him), and exploring the SG area. We even got to visit with Brandon's sister, Shari, and her hubby, Ammon. They went out of their way to stop by on their way home from Cali to AZ and Lish and Whit hosted all of us for a BBQ on their new grill.

Lots of time spent letting the babes play together-- Alyse consistently tried to engage Yale in conversation and Yale consistently scooted around to get to his toys, and sometimes he even went right over Alyse!

Took a hike through part of Snow Canyon-- Alyse's first hike! She was so worn out from it all that she fell asleep in the backpack on the way back to the car!

Lish and Whitney were amazingly gracious hosts. My mom also spent a few days with us and she babysat so we could go out on a double date (dinner and mini-golf!). Part three of our summer adventure took us to SoCal...stay tuned...
