Summer Part 4: Morgan Hill

After touring around SoCal, we headed north to Brandon's hometown of Morgan Hill. We had a wonderful week of visiting with family (Alyse got to meet her fourth, and last, set of great grandparents!), hiking up Mt. Madonna, swimming in the baby pool, running up Thomas Grade (a steep hill by the Woodland's house), eating delicious food cooked by Debbie, grilled by Carl, and also provided by Super Taqueria and Erik's Deli. Brandon and his dad also spent a lot of time prepping for their big hike. They packed and re-packed their backpacks so many times we were beginning to think they were going a bit crazy :) but it paid off because they had a great time (stay tuned for summer part 6).
We had gotten to spend time with Debbie in SoCal, but in MoHill we (aka Alyse) got to hang out with Grandpa Carl and Uncle Derek a lot. It wasn't long before she was warmed up to both of them and wanting to play when they were around!

Yes, Alyse is skinny dipping...we combined swimming with bathtime and she loved it!

Woodland Great Grandparents

I love this pic because I think you can see even more which side of the family Alyse looks like!!!

At the end of summer adventure we got to spend one more long weekend in MoHill. The OCD in me feels like I need to post those pics in actual chronological order instead of slipping them into this Morgan Hill section...so, stay tuned!

  1. I love that we get to claim Alyse as ours! We are so glad you are part of the family! I'm sad I didn't get to spend time with you in MoHill, but St. George was great! miss you! BTW, I love the "new view" at the top of your blog! ;)
