Summer Part 7: The Final Days of Vaca

We ended our lovely summer adventure with a few last days in Cali with the Woodlands. Sean came into town for the end of his summer break and so we all got to hang out for a long weekend. It was bittersweet because it marked the ending of our amazing vacation, but we were also pretty excited and anxious to get to Chicago!

Brandon and Sean spent a day together-- a bro date, if you will-- and hung out in Oakland and Berkley before picking Lisi and I up at the airport (coming back from St. George). They even got to catch an A's game! We did get to squeeze in a lovely family dinner with the Woody grandparents and all of Brandon's siblings except for Shari (we missed you, Shari and Ammon!). We also spent an afternoon at the beach Brandon went to growing up-- Rio Del Mar. The boys donned the wetsuits and boogey-boarded it up. Carl was actually the last one out of the water he was having so much fun! The girls enjoyed some downtime on the blanket and playing with Alyse. Debbie was getting in all of her grandbaby time since it will be a while until we see her again :(





Once again, we are so so so grateful for our family who helped make our summer trip possible. We just felt so lucky...I mean, who gets to visit places we love, spend 6 weeks straight with each other, and visit with both sets of Brandon' grandparents, all of our parents, and all of our siblings??? A special thanks to my mom and Scott, Debbie and Carl, and Lish and Whitney for hosting us, driving us, babysitting for us, etc. etc. etc.
