Grandpa Carl

We were blessed to have Brandon's dad visit us this past weekend. Carl was on his way back to California from a business trip back east and in Canada and scheduled a long "layover" in Chicago :) We had a great time showing him our new apt, walking around UC campus, going downtown and eating a "pizza pie", and of course letting him have lots of time with Lisi!


I think I'm going to climb up this Grandpa person...see how he takes it!


He seems to be having fun...what if I try and attack him...

Brandon enjoyed his dad's visit too (maybe having his dad here brought out the little kid in him, but he kept making funny faces in the pictures)


It made us feel really loved and special to have him make the effort to visit...when you don't live by each other, and there's no way to tell if you will ever live by each other, it becomes imperative to take advantage of every opportunity to visit. Somehow we lucked out and have family on all sides who go out of their way to see us-- thank you!!!
