After a few weeks of cooler than normal temperatures, we were given a gift: almost two weeks of 70+ degree weather and blue skies! And, thanks to the cold days a few weeks ago, we also have the beautiful Fall leaves amidst these gorgeous warm days.
We have been trying to live it up at the playground,
going on runs outside on the Lake Shore trail, stroller walks around the neighborhood, and-- of course-- "the beach".
Alyse is getting more and more adventurous in her explorations outside the apartment...she still sits in one place for a while whenever she is somewhere new-- scoping it out-- but now when we are at the park/playground or beach she quickly starts crawling and scooting around to check out the other kids or the grass/sand. She's still not the biggest fan of grass and when she crawls on it she tries to touch it with the least amount of limbs possible...so so so funny! BUT, sand on the other hand is a new favorite. Luckily she is not a baby who eats it, but she sure likes to play in it!
One of our new friends, Sarah. Her two cute boys were off exploring-- one of them is the same age as Alyse.

Look at those fall colors! That ivy one was so beautiful! Looks like some fun in the sun- isn't it great to have a beach area and not live in CA? How nice is that?! Love ya!
