We have been so so so blessed to have dear family visitors during our brief time in Chicago. A few weeks ago (I know, I am playing catch up, again!), Brandon's mom, Debbie, came out from California. AND it just so happened (well, we actually planned it this way), that her visit overlapped with Alyse's birthday party!
Our weekend with Grandma Debbie was mostly spent hanging out at home so that she and Alyse could get re-acquainted.
We also went to the Friday night "happy hour" at Brandon's school,
"Grandma's watching Alyse, so time to party!"
to the produce store, the tot lot (playroom in our building), and to Alyse's party.
"Wow, my granddaughter is a bit heavy!"
Debbie is such a kind, sweet natured, easy-going person...it's so easy to have her around! The weekend flew by, but luckily we will be there to visit the Woodlands in CA the week before Christmas.
