Halloween

Growing up, I never loved Halloween...mostly because it fell near my birthday and so my bday party themes were almost always Halloween related. Also, and this may come as a big shock to some of you, I was really shy growing up and dressing up in a costume was just way too much outside my comfort zone. BUT, now that we have Alyse, I'm not going to lie: I was super excited for Halloween!




We (i.e. me and Alyse) got all dressed up for our ward party and for the tail end of the trick or treating at Brandon's school (I was the only adult dressed up there...talk about feeling outside my comfort zone...imagine being dressed like a fairy and walking through crowds of business school students!). The party at church, however, was all out- everyone had dressed up and it was a lot of fun. I'm really excited for next year when Alyse understands a bit more about what is going on...not sure I'll be ready for her to eat any of the candy, though!
