Trips

Brandon left a week before me to go to California for a work conference/business school visits/squeeze in a few days with the family trip. We met up in Utah last Friday, and then came back to Bmore together yesterday. I sent him with the camera to document his trip...and he didn't take any pictures! So, I will let him update you (in words only!) when he gets a chance, but for now you get to enjoy some pics from our Memorial weekend.

We went out to Utah for our friend Ian's wedding. I feel privileged to be able to say "our" friend because 1) Ian is amazing, and 2) Brandon and Ian have been friends since they were freshman at BYU, and I got to spend a lot of time with Ian when he and Brandon were roommates in DC the year Brandon and I were dating. His wife (as of Saturday!) was so incredibly poised, sincere, and beautiful on their wedding day, I can only guess that she surpasses Ian in his amazingness. Check out the pics below:

Another great thing about being at the wedding-- besides basking in the love these two have for each other-- was that we got to hang out with Brandon's other good college buddies (Chris below, not pictured are Chris's wife, Lizzy, and Brea and Whitney)
AND, the extra special bonus of going to Utah for Ian's wedding was that we got to stay and hang out with my family! My brother and sister-in-law even planned their cross country move so that they would be in Utah for Memorial weekend and we could all hang out together. I felt so loved and so happy to be surrounded by these people I adore, even if it was for just two and a half days.

Brandon enjoying the promised back "massage" from my cutest in the world step-niece, Hannah.

The aforementioned brother. It's still possible that we're not blood related, right?

We were there for such a short time, but I'm not sure when I'll be in Utah next. At the earliest it will be late next Spring or early next Summer. SO, I called my two best friends from college/growing up and my mom and Scott hosted them and their families for Sunday dessert. It's so cool to get together with them as we go through different transitions in our lives.

(both Whitney and I are pregnant and only two weeks apart!!!)

We ended our trip at In-N-Out (no, we were not in CA, we were in UT) at Brandon's request. Very, very yummy.
